Announcement of updated product supply terms and a new Licensed Repair Service Facility program
Woodward Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of updated supply terms for its LEAP engine parts (both Line Replacement Units (LRUs) and piece parts) under a new General Purchase Agreement (‘GPA’). The new GPA redefines the terms on which customers can source Woodward’s products necessary for servicing LEAP engines and introduces a range of new possibilities.
Additionally, Woodward is pleased to announce a new Licensed Repair Service Facility (‘LRSF’) program to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (‘MRO’) stations with technical assistance and licenses to service LEAP engine components.
The New GPA
The new GPA reflects Woodward’s growing experience with the LEAP engine reflecting better product reliability, helping our customers best service the market and feedback received from industry partners and other stakeholders throughout the life of Woodward’s products for LEAP to date.
The launch of a new GPA is a significant step forward in simplifying Woodward’s supply structure. This new agreement will allow signatories a greater range of choices, including the flexibility to purchase some or all of their LRU or piece part requirements at the time and in the quantities of their choosing, so that a variety of customer business models can be supported.
“We’re always evaluating how our products are performing and listening to our customers, and the new GPA reflects that,” said John DiSilvestro, Woodward’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our new GPA is the result of an effort to simplify our supply structure while offering greater flexibility.”
The New LRSF
Having acquired the necessary experience with the LEAP engine and carefully assessing the maintenance needs of its components, Woodward is also announcing the launch of an all-new LRSF program that will provide MRO stations with licenses and technology packages to perform MRO services on Woodward LEAP engine components.
The program features two distinct tiers: Elite and Authorized, each offering unique benefits. MRO service providers can choose the tier that best suits their needs.
Key features include:
- Direct access to the CMM from Woodward as required
- Access to technical assistance
- Technology Package that includes tooling, training, and know-how
