FORT COLLINS, Colo., (April 10, 2025) – Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD), a global leader in energy control solutions for aerospace and industrial applications, today announced an agreement with MOOG, Inc. to provide position sensors for the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA).
Bell’s next-generation tiltrotor aircraft was selected by the U.S. Army for its FLRAA program.
Woodward’s position sensors will be integrated into Moog’s Pylon Conversion Actuators, which rotate the pylons from vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) to cruise mode, enabling unmatched operational agility for FLRAA.
“Woodward has a long history of providing electromechanical components to Moog for commercial and military flight control applications, and we are excited to support Moog and the FLRAA team,” said Jon Geisheimer, Woodward’s vice president and general manager of Electromechanical Systems & Electronics. “Our position sensors will be a component of Moog’s actuation systems which enable the pylon rotation.”
