Dr. Ronald M. Sega


    Vice President and Enterprise Executive for Energy and the Environment, Colorado State University and The Ohio State University

    Dr. Ronald M. Sega is Vice President and Enterprise Executive for Energy and the Environment with Colorado State University and The Ohio State University. He was elected director of Woodward in 2008. Sega also serves on the board of directors for Rentech, Inc. Dr. Sega served as Under Secretary for the U.S. Air Force, and flew as a NASA astronaut on two shuttle missions. As Under Secretary, Dr. Sega lead a team that developed a comprehensive energy strategy emphasizing supply, demand, and culture. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 technical publications and has served on numerous advisory and governance boards. Dr. Sega graduated from the Air Force Academy, received a master’s degree from The Ohio State University, and earned a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in the Rank of Major General.
